Publisher/Editor-In-Chief Sarah Nicastro talks one-on-one with Briana Colstad of Alliant Energy about how the organization tackled change management.
I hope we all know by now that creating employee buy-in for technology deployments is critical. We do, right? Without buy-in, your investment is, at best, under-utilized and, at worst, wasted. I can’t tell you the number of people I’ve talked to who have told me horror stories of how their organization ignored the need for employee buy-in and felt the pain of doing so.
I heard Briana Colstad, senior business improvement consultant at Alliant Energy, speak in April at The Service Council’s annual symposium. I thought she relayed such great information on how Alliant Energy has tackled employee buy-in, that I asked her to share it here with you. Alliant Energy provides electricity and natural gas to more than 1.4 million customers in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The company currently uses ClickSchedule from ClickSoftware and also has more than 280 technicians armed with ClickMobile on Panasonic CF-19 and CF-31 Toughbooks in the field. Here Briana shares her insights and experience on creating employee buy-in for mobility.
