GPS Solution Slashes Fuel Expenses

NuBilt Restoration & Construction saves $5,000 per year in fuel costs and ensures 2-hour response times with GPS fleet tracking.
NuBilt Restoration & Construction has managed to gain better control over its fuel costs — to the tune of nearly $5,000 per year — while simultaneously improving employee accountability and on-time arrivals using a GPS-based fleet management tool. The company provides post-disaster restoration services for water and fire damage, mold removal, biohazard cleanup, roofing damage, and structural damage, for both residential and commercial buildings, providing twohour response times for everything from fire-damaged buildings to overflowing sump pumps.
NuBilt operates a fleet of 20 trucks and vans (GMC Savanas, Ford-150s, Dodge Durangos, etc.), many of which the company’s employees drive home at night and on the weekend. With fuel costs soaring, the company wanted a better way to track how the trucks were being used during (and after) business hours. According to IT administrator Stephen VanVladricken, the company also wanted a way to track when employees arrived and departed from job sites, as well as a method of improving dispatch to ensure its guaranteed 2-hour response times.
